In case the recent Gamescom Opening Night Live trailer wasn’t enough, Far cry 6 will receive new gameplay today at 9:00 am PT. Ubisoft announced on Twitter that it will be a first look at the open world shooter on Xbox Series X. Of course, it could share new details as well.

Far cry 6 takes place on the island of Yara as dictator Anton Castillo reigns with an iron fist. After the death of their relatives at the hands of Castillo, Dani Rojas joins the guerrilla forces and promises to bring freedom back to the country. This is done by traveling to different regions, waging war against El Presidente’s forces, and garnering rebel support in what would be the largest map in the series to date.

Released on October 7, Far cry 6 is coming to Xbox One, Xbox Series X / S, PS4, PS5, PC, and Google Stadia. In terms of post-launch content, it will receive three expansions with stories focused on the past. Far cry bad guys like Vaas (Far cry 3), Pagan Min (Far cry 4) and Joseph Seed (Far cry 5).
