Ok, definitely my favorite title winner this year is Eat, kill, love by Jesse Petersen, the third book in the Zombie Therapy series. These books are incredibly fun, and I think the covers show it. When I was designing the first two books, Married to Zombies and flip that zombieI was definitely going for a bit of a parody of self-help books rolled up in a Shaun of the dead kind of aesthetic, all in punk on chick lit up a bit. The genius of this one is all in the title. Come on, you can’t not laugh, just a little…

In other zombie related news, Married to Zombies is up for “Most Unique Cover” at the 2010 All Things Urban Fantasy Cover Awards. And Jesse Petersen did great recaps of The Walking Dead on AMC every Monday after the show on Sunday night.

Here’s a little teaser…

“I’m not really in the mood for shopping.”
Dave stopped halfway to open the bottom of the cargo hold and stared at me. “Have you been bitten?”
I blinked. “What?”
“Were. You. Bit?” he repeated slowly and steadily.
I shook my head. “No. The clawing zombie didn’t get close enough before you hit it, you saw it. Even it should have gnawed at my boot before it reached my skin. He continued to stare at me, his eyebrows slightly up like he was doubting me. Bad lately. “What? Why are you looking at me like that?”
He blew up the cargo bay and began to return the weapons to their designated areas. “I don’t know. I’ve never seen you guys not wanting to go shopping.

And don’t forget, gray is actually a fabulous silver on Married to Zombies…and flip that zombie is so pink that it will jump off the shelves and attack you. I like this. They’re both out now, so check them out in person!

I have to admit I was pretty darn excited when it was initially announced that we would have an expansion that would focus on Nanman and Meng Huo. Then as I continued to review The furious savage , some problems became apparent. Before we get to that, let’s discuss the roles the Nanman played in the frame. The Nanmans were a loose confederacy of people ethnically different from the Han. At Luo Guanzhong Romance of the Three Kingdoms , they rebelled against the rule of the kingdom of Shu-Han.
