THE BLACK PRISM will be released worldwide in less than a week, but we have some early reviews coming up that we had to share.

At Fantasy Book Critic Liviu writes:

“The Black Prism is an A++ from me as the series has the potential to become one for the ages. The main flaw of The Black Prism is that it ends – despite being over 600 pages and a reasonable endpoint , I still wanted at least 600 more! (After)

And at Grasping for the Wind, John Ottinger writes:

“It’s a truly visionary and original work, which set the bar very high for others in its subgenre.” (After)

Brent Weeks will be touring the US starting on the 25th (full tour schedule here) but he did a pre-release video tour online. Today he stopped by Janicu’s book blog to talk about his love of magic (the gathering!) and how many books we can expect in the Lightbringer series. Your whole party still benefits from the XP earned from battles and such, but with very few trainers – who can’t be rematched, of course – and no Gyms, how do you level up quickly? One method is to buy Exp. Bonn Sweets at Jubilife Village. While it can be quite expensive, it’s possible if you farm valuable items from space-time warps (more on that here) and sell them for Pokedollars. It’s only good for upgrading Pokemon one at a time, so be warned. You can also venture into Massive Outbreaks, which are phenomena where multiple Pokémon of the same species will appear together.
