Halo Infinite: How to Remap Buttons, Change Controls & Sensitivity
cre: Halo Infinite: How to Remap Buttons, Change Controls & Sensitivity
Started playing Halo Infinite multiplayer, but the controls aren’t working for you? You’re not alone. Here’s everything you need to know to remap buttons, tweak controls, and adjust sensitivity in Halo Infinite.
Button remapping in Halo Infinite
To remap individual buttons, press the Menu button to open the Control Panel, then select “Settings” at the very top of this menu.

You will now be taken to the ‘Controller’ menu. Here, if you scroll down, you’ll find a list of all button inputs while on foot and in vehicles.

Find the one you want to edit, then press A on it. You will now be asked to press the button on your Xbox controller that you want to assign this action to.

When you pressed the button, if another action was already assigned to it, it will be replaced and you will have to find it in the list and assign it to a new button.
Change controller layouts and stick sensitivity
If you’d rather change your entire controller layout to something like Bumper Jumper, you can do that too.
Head to the very top of the “Controller” menu in “Settings”, then select “Button Layout” at the very top of this screen.

You will then receive a drop-down menu of all the different controller layouts. Once you’ve found the right one for you, press A to confirm your choice.
Changing the sensitivity of the stick is also done in the same menu and can be found under the sub-heading “Sensitivity and acceleration”. Here we found that increasing the Appearance Acceleration and Appearance Sensitivity (Horizontal) and Appearance Sensitivity (Vertical) had the desired effect of making us feel a little more agile.

That’s all you need to know about button remapping and changing controller layout and stick sensitivity in Halo Infinite. For more tips, tricks, and guides, be sure to check out our guide wiki or see more of our coverage on the game below.
